Here are the five words you’ve been longing to hear … corned beef burnt ends Reuben. The limited-run sandwich is back at Joe’s Kansas City on Thursdays in March and this Saturday, March 16.

The U.S. Coffee Championships will be in Kansas City this weekend. The championships will crown the top barista, brewer, roaster and cup taster in the country. There’s a potluck from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Messenger Coffee and a coffee community celebration from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Monarch Coffee on Friday night.

The big draw are the championship rounds, wherein baristas and coffee folks compete to make drinks and show off their brewing skills, Friday through Sunday at the Kansas City Convention Center. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Wild Way Coffee (708 E. 19th St.)  is hosting a free Public Cupping from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday featuring African coffee with Repetition Coffee out of Lawrence, Kansas.

The Olathe BBQ Championship is Friday and Saturday at Stagecoach Park. On Friday, they’ll have a monster truck on hand and the Olathe Cornhole Championships at night. Grab barbecue from BB’s Bar and Grill on Saturday and catch college basketball on televisions in the beer garden.

Parlor and Hutch are hosting a Queer Eye Season 3 Watch Party from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The third season of Queer Eye was filmed in Kansas City, Missouri, and debuts Friday on Netflix.

The Snake Saturday Parade runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and runs from East 16th Street and Swift Street to Armour Boulevard and Howell Street. There’s also a carnival, petting zoo and plenty of special beer releases from the breweries in North Kansas City. Check out #TapList, our weekly beer column, for details.

The Upper Crust Pie Bakery (7943 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas) is celebrating International Pi Day today with three pie slices for $14. Get it? The bakery in downtown Overland Park is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you can’t make it tonight, it’s also Third Fridays in Overland Park, which means you can get a pie flight (3 slices for $9) between 5 and 8 p.m. Get a nightcap, too, with a wine flight.

Learn how to make vegan bread with Sunni’s Holistic Delights from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Happy Apple Cafe (5536 Troost Ave.). The class ($25), will include a lesson in how to make vegan bread and sips of vegan wine.
