Harlan is an artist, a self-described struggling one. When he was a child and would fight with his brother, his mother would sit them down and have them draw a picture as a way to calm down. Each time, he says, his mother would say, “Well, that’s good, but it could be better.”
Now, he’s constantly striving to be better in the already competitive arts world.
“You’re up against the world, and in my case, guess who’s winning?” he said. “The world.”
