Over the course of past month, Take Note has been listening to area youth as we explore the intersection of trauma and education. We went to Blue Valley to learn about their new mental health resources in “We Struggle, Too,” we ventured to Blue Springs where a young graduate shared his remarkable story through “In His Shoes,”  but what does trauma and trauma-informed care look like in the heart of the city and what resources are available? That’s the focus of “If These Walls Could Talk,” where students from Youth Ambassadors and State Street Project tell their stories of trauma and resilience.

Follow “Take Note: Our City. Our Schools. Our Future” as together, we tell the stories that matter, the stories that make an impact. We want to know — what stories do you have for us, and what can we find out for you? Email us at contact@takenotekc.org and follow the entire project at takenotekc.org.
