Flatland is the digital magazine of Kansas City PBS, a multi-platform nonprofit serving the entire metro community. We house the Hale Center for Journalism and a handful of other wonderfully creative types, all working together to bring you stories in ways and forms that excite and inform you.
Flatland is seeking volunteers to get involved behind the scenes and engage with the community to help shape our content. Build your résumé as a part of this content development and strategy exercise.
As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll help represent Flatland in relaxed and fun environments like festivals and community gatherings. You’ll interact with the community, build awareness of KCPT’s digital magazine, and organize the feedback that will help shape our content strategy. You’ll also be given Flatland apparel to wear while representing the magazine (it’s our version of a super hero’s cape).
Super Users will work behind-the-scenes giving feedback on user experience with Flatland. Your digital research will help refine how we interact with our audience and reach new users. (You’re like the Alfred in our Batcave). No fancy tech skills needed.
By making a donation to KCPT, you are supporting Flatland’s efforts to bring you the best of arts & culture, people & places, news & issues, and more, as well as the best in PBS and local arts, news and children’s programming on television and online. Make a secure donation online now.
